About Ardlight

Last updated: March 2026
The short version

Ardlight is a free educational resource. All provider mentions are editorial and independent. If we ever enter a commercial arrangement with a provider we discuss, we will say so clearly.

This page explains how Ardlight operates, our editorial principles, and what we are (and are not) as a service.

Our editorial approach

Every provider mentioned on Ardlight, whether a savings platform, ISA provider, or pension service, appears because we believe it is genuinely relevant and good value for our readers. Provider mentions are never influenced by commercial arrangements.

Ardlight is built to be a lasting, sustainable resource. We may in future explore ways to sustain the site, including partnerships or other commercial arrangements. Any such arrangement will be disclosed prominently on this page and at the top of any relevant guide, and will never influence our editorial independence.

Our editorial principles

No payment changes our editorial positions

No provider can pay Ardlight to improve their ranking in a comparison, to be listed as "best" or "recommended", or to have negative information removed. Our assessments are based on publicly available information and the factors we believe matter to the type of person using Ardlight.

Providers are included on merit alone

We include providers in our guides based on whether they are genuinely relevant and good value for our readers. That will remain true regardless of any commercial relationships we may establish in future.

We disclose commercial relationships clearly

If Ardlight has a commercial relationship with a product we discuss, we will say so prominently, at the top of the relevant guide, and on this page. We will not hide commercial relationships in footnotes or small print.

What Ardlight is not

Ardlight is not a regulated financial adviser. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
